This is how I would normally edit for general audiences. People like to hear the congregation singing so I mute your mic during the hymns but the Kyrie and other sung parts are still there. Also sung parts where you are leading the congregation are left intact.
Something I do with this is to unbalance the lectern and pulpit mics to the left and right slightly. This separates things out and accentuates the delay that you get with a large room. Otherwise it is totally mono and really flat sounding. I think this sounds nice.
